SUBMISSION GUIDELINES If you are interested in submitting to Violent! then please contact Jay Eales in the first instance with a story pitch, or art samples. We're always happy to receive submissions for short standalone strips that fit the Violent! brief. No more than 5 pages, packed to the gills with black humour and over the top action, with a heavy twist of surreality. Violent! already has several ongoing serial strips [MageWorks, Spare Parts, The Flatworm, Hard-Boiled Hitler and Space Dude] so we're not currently looking to expand the roster at present, as these strips tend to overflow each issue as it is, but it's always nice to be able to break it up a little with something different when we can. If you'd like to write or draw for us, please be aware that while we aim for a professional product, this is the small press, so we can't afford to pay our creators with anything other than a contributor copy, and our undying gratitude. Having said that, Violent! is an award nominated anthology [National Comic Awards and the Comic Creators Guild], and has featured the work of some of the shining lights of the British comics scene, so you'd be in great company.
