"Rush out and buy a copy now – it is fair to say that
Violent! is a reasonable representation of what the future talent of
British Comics has to offer." Regies Rigby, Full

"Self-confessed Action-inspired anthology
title. Anthologies are often variable in quality, but this is generally
very good. Highlights are Jay Eales and Paul Holden’s strange
tale of a gentleman thief, and the quasi-expressionism of Alex
Smith’s art in SSOB. The excellent cartoony art of Paul
Holden is another highlight. (KG) 7/10" from Comics

"The subject matter isn't
actually all that violent: it's the taut scripting of very short
stories which keeps the tension high here. Art and script standards are
good throughout, particularly Paul J. Holden's drawing. And the shifts
in tone between comedy and light horror make the whole more varied than
the title might suggest. (MK)
